Jeremy Lin Foundation hosting a pre-Thanksgiving dinner

Jeremy Lin and his parents Shirley and Gie-Ming are hosting a pre-Thanksgiving dinner tonight at the Toyota Center for 120 children and their parents. The children and members of PAIR (Partnership for the Advancement and Immersion of Refugees) Houston and the Yellowstone Academy.

Both organizations, along with Workshop Houston, were selected as recipients of the Jeremy Lin Foundation’s “Making a Difference” project, which supports local youth focused non-profits.

Rockets guard Jeremy Lin and his parents Shirley and Gie-Ming hosted a pre-Thanksgiving dinner Friday at Toyota Center for 120 children and their parents.

“It’s special,” Lin said. “I think last year for us was like laying a lot of groundwork for the foundation in terms of setting everything up, raising money, finding trustworthy organizations and ther whole deal. There is a lot of stuff we weren’t able to do in terms of going out physically into the community and spending time with people so this is a chance to really get to know people.”
