The Ringer — A decade after Jeremy Lin’s NBA breakout, Lin and some of the people who observed his sudden ascent reflect on the excitement and lasting cultural significance of his heroics for the Knicks in February 2012.

For each three pointer Jeremy makes this season, he will contribute $500 to the Asian American Student Advocacy Project (@cacfasap), which is a youth leadership program of CACF @cacfnyc for Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) youth from across New York City.

Jeremy had the opportunity to visit the Dandelion School last week. It's the first and only nonprofit middle school serving migrant children in Beijing; these are children of migrants workers.

In SF Chinatown, there are ~500 families with children that live in single room occupancy housing with ~$25K of annual income. These families live in only 150 square feet and 50 families on a floor share bathrooms and a communal kitchen.

CYCSF stepped in to provide wraparound services like counseling, substance abuse/violence prevention, leadership development, civic engagement, etc. Whatever the kids need, CYC’s finding a way to provide. Most importantly, CYC’s showing these kids they are SEEN. That they are LOVED. There is HOPE.
